Dr. Brian Shaughnessy

Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Brian Shaughnessy earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Connecticut

School of Dental Medicine in 2006 and completed a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Harvard University in

collaboration with Children’s Hospital Boston in 2008. With a background in physical therapy, he brings over 30

years of diverse healthcare experience to his practice, shaping his philosophy that prevention is the best strategy for

lifelong oral health.

In his free time, Dr. Shaughnessy enjoys Bikram yoga, oil painting, and learning Portuguese. His passion for service

extends beyond his practice, as he serves as the dental director for a healthcare non-profit organization in Honduras,

providing essential dental care and education to underserved communities. He also mentors pre-dental students

from Northeastern University and Boston University, helping guide the next generation of dental professionals. When

he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Shaughnessy loves spending time with his partner and their three daughters, embracing

both family life and his commitment to children’s health and well-being.
